EffiScience "matinales"

" "Do you know your neighbour? Do you know what he does?"

Although apparently simple, this question often generates a negative response when aimed at an entrepreneur. Each sector of industry has its own formal institutional meetings and networking events; however, they tend to be activity-specific and a business can easily overlook, for a number of years, a related or complementary activity on its very doorstep. To encourage informal exchange, Synergia regularly organises EffiScience "matinales" - morning encounters. These "get to know your neighbour cafes" are informal encounters, organised from 8 to 10 a.m., and during which business leaders invite a few peers together with young business creators to talk about their profession over a coffee.  The meetings are casual and relaxed and provide many a fruitful exchange.

Campus Job Dating

Synergia, NXP and the Pôle Mobilité Inter Entreprises are taking employment in hand in partnership with the businesses established within the Science Park.

The "Campus Job Dating" or "High tech recruitment forum" is organised within the EffiScience science park's reception area. The idea behind the "Campus Job Dating" is to put executives and engineers looking for a new job directly in touch with businesses with current or future needs.

The event's originality  lies in the fact that it focuses on engineer and executive positions in high tech industries, in the fields of computer science, electronics, R&D or management, via short (5 minute) interviews offering both businesses and candidates a first one-to-one encounter.

Key players from the Science Park, together with a few high tech companies from throughout the urban area, join forces to pool their available job offers.
In response to these job offers, Caen's University and engineering schools: ENSICAEN, SUPINFO and APEC, together with a number of companies are joining forces and getting actively involved in the promotion of the "Campus Job Dating" event among students, former students, jobseekers or employees keen to change.
