The Science Park

The Science Park covers a surface area of 25 hectares on the Colombelles plateau, located within the Caen la Mer conurbation.
The Science Park positions itself as a centre of international excellence in interactive mobility.

It currently reunites a total of 2,000 salaried employees, with a target of 6,000 jobs by 2015. The Science Park enables extensive resources and infrastructures to be shared on a unique site:

• An internationally renowned training and R&D offer, the foundation stone of which is the European Masters Degree SIP M'SIP (System in Package) dispensed by ENSICAEN and the LaMIPS joint laboratory.
• The Plug N'Work technological business incubator and business centre. Based on a simple plug and work (you arrive and you work) operational model, the centre facilitates the materialisation and development of innovative projects thanks to a favourable environment and shared services.
• The Living lab: The observatory is a study and validation tool, providing ethical and technological vigilance for future developments and assessing the economic and moral suitability of interactive nomad devices with regard to their target markets.
• The Business Centre. Managed by Synergia, the centre ensures the implementation and smooth running of new collaborative approaches focusing on a common aim: to innovate together.
• A service offer that contributes to conviviality whilst encouraging the efficient participation of those involved in the park's operation: institutional catering, transport, leisure activities and sports club, shops, housing programme, nursery, international higher education.

This original concept forms the bedrock of the Science Park's promise: to innovate together.
