In the following months, a usage observatory is due to be set up. The tools it will provide will offer new prospects for multidisciplinary research: researchers, entrepreneurs, jurists, sociologists, designers, philosophers and marketing specialists will validate the technological concepts behind Interactive Mobile Devices and, together, will identify the environmental changes that such devices are likely to induce (technology, economy, sociology, ethics, law...).

As a resource encouraging study and reflection, the usage observatory will provide the essential ethical assurance concerning future technological developments. It constitutes an international guarantee of the economic and ethical coherence of IMD development with regard to their target markets.
